Kingwood, Texas - Newborn & Baby Photographer | In-Home Newborn Photoshoot and what to expect

Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here to learn more about my in-home newborn photoshoots! If you aren’t familiar with Tiffany Daniel Photography, I’m a Kingwood, Texas newborn photographer, specializing in in-home newborn photos. That means that I bring the entire studio to your home where you watch comfortably while I document your newest addition! Come along with me as I walk you through the process.

Newborn sessions are generally booked two to three months in advance. I only take a certain amount of babies each month so I can assure availability for everyone. Sometimes babies come a little early or late, families may wish to have a little more time adusting at home before their newborn session or mom may need just a bit more time to recover from birth. I want to ensure that my clients feel comfortable and ready for their photoshoots so taking only a certain number of babies each month allows me to keep my schedule open for them.

Once I’ve accepted you as a client, we have a phone consultation to select color palettes that suit your preferences and go over your goals for the session. We will discuss what family members will be present and who will be included in your portraits. We will also discuss wardrobe choices for each family member to create a beautiful and cohesive look for your images with wall art in mind. Family wall art is the most selected pieces of art among my clients and so we shoot with this in mind.

After the birth of your baby and when everyone has been medically cleared, you contact me telling me the wondrous news of your precious baby. I can then respond with available dates and we begin preparing for your session. By this time you will have received my prep guide for you, your newborn and how to prepare your home for our newborn photoshoot. I service the entire Houston area and once we’ve selected a date I begin to prepare for my journey to your home. Bringing an entire newborn studio is quite the task and I often bring my assistant to help. Once we arrive to your home I quickly decide where we will shoot and will begin to move furniture and rugs out of the way. We quickly transform your living space into a newborn studio complete with props, backdrops and lighting for perfectly lit portraits.

Family is always first and I begin every session with family portraits. We wrap baby and get all the desired individual shots with baby, together as a family and sibling poses as well. Most often clients choose to include their beloved family pets and this is my favorite way to capture families by including fur babies! I generally like to do two different outfits for families, starting with a white or cream wardrobe before switching to a dark wardrobe. Backlit photos is also another way I love to capture families and it’s definitely a client favorite!

After we have covered all the family moments we move on to focus on your newborn’s individual portraits. I love to explore an entire color pallet and include them to create a beautiful album of your baby. Baskets, baby beds, and blanket poses are all included. We are completely baby led, meaning we follow the lead of your baby. We stop when they need to feed and when they need to be cuddled. I have all kinds of tricks to keep your baby comfortable and content throughout our session and with your help we will have a successful photoshoot!

Within a few days of our session, I’ll schedule a time for our ordering appointment via Zoom. You’ll view your images from your home and get to relive all the beautiful moments as we select your portraits. Together we create a collection that includes, digital images, a wall art and a heirloom album. Afterwards, I edit your images to perfection, order your artwork and when it arrives I deliver it to your home! You’re left with the more gorgeous moments of your family, forever memorialized in beautiful art work that’s ready to be hung or displayed.
