Birth Stories. Everyone has one and each is as unique as it is exciting to hear. As an in-home newborn photographer in Bellaire, Houston, one of my favorite parts of the session is getting to know parents who have just welcomed a little one into the world. Capturing these very vulnerable moments in the intimate setting of their home is something I truly treasure. Listening to the story of the birth of their baby and then watching them adjust to caring for a new little one—while caring for one another—is such a beautiful part of the journey I take with each family. Being in their own home allows parents to feel completely comfortable. They can relax, eat, have a drink, or even take a nap, all while I document the early, precious moments of their newborn’s life.

It’s a full luxury experience to have me come to you instead of you packing up your baby to take to a studio and everyone really loves it! Baby Grace had an exciting birth story and mama handled it so well, I wouldn’t have known the challenges they faced. She was so calm and relaxed during our session, comfortably nursing her precious baby throughout as needed.

This mama was stunning and had her makeup done by a great friend of hers who is famous in the makeup realm! Mistyrockwell.com is an official sponsor of the Miss Texas USA Pageant and she does phenomenal work! I always suggest mamas get their makeup done by a professional before our session and offer the service in my newborn packages. During the session, we took full advantage of having the session in their home. We started with the grandparents for formal family portraits before we focused on mama, daddy and baby. We moved into the baby Grace’s stunning nursery that had been so thought out and perfect in every way. Every detail was staged to perfection and the hues of powder pink accented the elegant room while a dainty chandelier softly lit the nursery. We had a lifestyle session in the nursery to include the family dog and glowing grandmother. The couple's room was decorated with such class and the casual portraits that we took of the new family cuddled up on the bed will be forever treasured.

Baby Grace could not have been more perfect during her session. It sounds impossible but she had the most exquisite demeanor and was such a calm baby! She was so comfy and relaxed the entire time only waking a few times to quietly tell her mama that she was ready to eat. The hues of pinks that we chose for her session complimented her beautiful skin tone so well and everything we put her in made her even more beautiful.

The gallery was extensive with such a selection to choose from and I know that the album that we print for this little girl will become a family heirloom for their lifetimes.
